What should I bring to a notary appointment?Please bring relevant documents with notary certificate wording and current state or federal-issued photograph identification that includes a signature. If you need the documents printed, I will be happy to print them and have them ready for our appointment for an additional $2 fee per page. *Photocopies or pictures of ID and temporary ID cards are not acceptable. Originals only.

How do I know if my document has notary certificate wording?For documents that are an acknowledgment, it will generally have some variation of “acknowledged before me.” A jurat wording typically will include a version of “subscribed and sworn” language. If you are not sure which document to use, please consult in an attorney, as I am not allowed, by law, to suggest or tell you what form to use.
